dc.description.abstract The content of this theses are arranged under four chapter. Chapter I is of review nature and deal with the introduction to the thesis. Chapter II is concerned with some problem of steady and unsteady flow of viscous fluid under various physical circumstances. Theses problem are important due to their application in the field of geophysics, meteorology and atmospheric science and are discussed here to study the action of normal loads on the fluid surface and shearing stress on fluid boundary under variety of situations.the problem are investigated in three parts: 1. Effect of normal loads on the slow steady motion of semi-infinite viscous fluid. en
